Despite the controversy, a senior official from India’s sports ministry recently stated that the central government will not restrict the Indian team from participating in multi-nation tournaments where Pakistan is also competing. ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, who also heads the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed the Asia Cup schedule on social media. He announced that the tournament will be hosted in the UAE from September 9 to 28, with the full match itinerary to be released shortly.
